Our name was fetched from the International Day of the Living Together in Peace which was proclaimed by the United Nations in 2017 on the 16th May.

The 16th May Coalition on living together in peace, was translated in Swahili, the most understood language spoken between the three countries as ISHI PAMOJA KWA AMANI coalition Great Lakes.
